Taking control – Caitline’s story

When Caitline joined the Restart Scheme, she was very shy and had little confidence during her appointments. Employment Adviser, Clodagh, worked closely with Caitline to prioritise mental health support as she was suffering from anxiety and stress.

Caitline utilised the support from our in-house Wellbeing team and was referred for further sessions with Working Minds, funded by the Restart Scheme. On completion of the in-house courses and session in Stress Management, Self-Awareness, Managing Anxiety and Mindfulness, Caitline noticed a huge change in her confidence and approach towards finding work. Following the courses, she felt more in control of working towards her end job goals.

Clodagh shared: “After a few weeks on the Restart Scheme, there was a massive change in Caitline’s confidence, and she was closer to reaching her end goal of getting back into work.

“Caitline was supported with creating a new CV, preparing for interviews and meeting with an employer at an open day. This led to her first interview in a long time, and together we practiced with mock interviews and questions ready for the day.

“Caitline was offered the job, but needed a form of photo ID to proceed, so we have applied for her provisional license and completed the form together. She has done well to secure employment, and the Restart Scheme have further supported financially, with new work clothes and travel costs to assist with the financial transition back into work.”

Congratulations Caitline, best of luck in your new role!
